INSPIRING ART OF ADEBOWALE FOLASADE

FROM THE ARTIST'S DESK..........

The question of innocence, strength, determination lingers my being causing me to focus on ravaging thoughts that limits man from achieving heights (enjoying the beauty of man's existence). With 'tender hearts' as my take off point through the journey of life captured in happy moments, learning expeditions, challenges, determination and celebration of successful achievements"...appearing to be the ingredients that makes the earth a battlefield but with great messages of hope one can choose to make it a better place.

With my subject ranging from life and nature...I choose to celebrate black and white shades and a flow of saturated colour(s) reflecting in most of my works i.e. Salience - a work that depicts my nature..."a person of whom cannot be hidden".

Occupied with a solo status yet bringing life to so much around...the beauty of life sometimes seem to be hidden in shadows but simply shed light on one and all is seen. The spotlight sufficiently different from its surroundings to be worthy of your attention causing one's eyes to be captured in the moment.

There were times I was desperate...nothing seemed to work, the weight of being trapped in my own body make it difficult to lift a hand off the sheets. Alas!  Arise my spirit says the glory is in your midst.
